If you are looking for a spot that combines incredible Italian comfort food with a truly welcoming atmosphere, Ritrovo is it. We’ve dined here many times, and it’s consistently one of our favorite experiences. The appetizers are a must—specifically the eggplant rollatini and the fried calamari, which are always perfectly prepared. For mains, you really can’t go wrong. The Chicken Parm is a classic done right, and the Pappardelle is absolutely delicious. If you’re a steak lover, the NY Strip is always seasoned and cooked exactly to order. One of the biggest highlights for us is the wine list. It’s rare to find Masi Amarone on a local menu, and having it available here is a huge treat for wine enthusiasts. Make sure you save room for dessert! While they are all great, the cheesecake is a personal standout. Beyond the food, what keeps us coming back is the hospitality. The owner and manager are incredibly engaging and clearly care about every guest’s experience; they always make a point to stop by our table to say hello. It’s that level of personal touch that makes Ritrovo feel special. Highly recommended for a great meal and even better company!
Amazing food, atmosphere and people. It was our first time there on a Friday night. Our server Gustavo was awesome. His professionalism while being personable and attentive to details enhanced our dining experience even more. He was absolutely great! I went to Ritrovo with a good friend as we waited to pick up our kids from their prom. We found Ritrovo through a google search and I am so glad we did as it did not disappoint!! I can't wait to go back with family and friends!
Absolutely should be a 5 star restaurant!! This was the best birthday ever. Staff opened the doors for us, greeted us, served and poured properly. Food was amazing !! And they sung happy birthday to me. Jaime was great, also the best tiramisu I’ve had in a while. Staff was attentive, caring, and you could really feel the genuine energy. Thank you again.
Went to Ritrovo tonight for the first time. We were a party of 5 and everyone’s meal was absolutely delicious! The martinis are fantastic, food is top quality and comes out hot. Our waitress Gabby made the night perfect. Stellar service all around. Can’t wait to come back!
I had a great experience at Ritrovo in Shelton, CT. I had weekly special ribeye, which was amazing and the bartender Ana took care of us. I really enjoyed it and I can recommend this place.
The past Sunday we had our wedding at Ritrovo’s and it was incredible. We had the ceremony in the small room next to the bar and then we had 35 people that took up half of the dining room for dinner. Everything was absolutely amazing from the appetizers, to the pasta to the main course. Jamie and his staff were wonderful, everyone was super attentive and paid attention to all the details. We highly recommend this restaurant for any type of event you plan to have, you will not be disappointed. Again, thank you so much to Jamie, Antonio, Ana, Gabby and the rest of the staff, you made our special day perfect.

Ritrovo is easily the best addition to the Shelton dining scene in years. We’ve been a few times now and the quality is incredibly consistent. The Pork Chop is a total showstopper—it's absolutely massive, perfectly cooked, and delicious. My kids are notoriously picky, but they’ve declared the Chicken Parm their absolute favorite. Hats off to the chef. Beyond the food, the drink program is top-tier. They have a fantastic wine list and a whiskey selection that would impress any enthusiast. What really sets this place apart, though, is the team. Antonio (the owner) and Jamie (the manager) run a tight ship and make you feel like a regular from day one. Huge shoutout to Gabby and the rest of the servers who are always attentive and professional. 10/10 recommend!
We came here for a birthday and it was the most special night. The cheese wheel pasta was incredible, the wine selection was perfect, and the whole atmosphere made the evening unforgettable. Everything from the food to the service was spot on. What truly sets this place apart is the Xhokola family - their warmth and hospitality make the experience feel personal and memorable. ❤️
while staying in Shelton, CT for the night I researched reviews to find a place for dinner and ultimately chose RITROVO. I’m glad I did – the place was great! The menu is slightly better than typical Italian… Service was great… Food quality, flavor, execution was excellent! I started with their pasta e fagioli which came out piping hot, fresh, and tasting amazing! It tasted so good that I had to send a pic of it to the wife so she could make some when I got back home! Entrée was a special of the night so it wasn’t on the menu, it was their Chicken Scarpariello. This dish took a little longer to prepare, but it was worth the wait! It came out piping hot and ohhhh soooo good!!! The chicken was perfectly seasoned, cooked, tender, and sooo flavorful! The sausage, peppers, onions, and especially the potatoes in this dish were insanely flavored that I wanted a piece of everything with each bite of chicken! This dish was AMAZING – highly recommend it! Lastly was dessert – I opted for their Crème Brûlée as they make it in house and it was great too! One of the owners, a beautiful young lady came out to chat with me about their restaurant and I loved her story. She introduced me to Antonio, the owner/chef too and he was nice. Their venue is beautiful and is set up nicely for special occasions too! I’ll definitely be back!
